James McVey, lead guitarist for The Vamps has said being bullied as a teenager has had a "lasting effect".

The musician, who is an Anti-Bullying Ambassador for the charity, The Diana Award, told 5 live's Nihal Arthanayake he was cyber bullied as a teenager and even now, ten years later, he still "permanently critiques himself".

The dictionary definition of bullying has changed from 'a person who uses strength or influence to harm or intimidate those who are weaker' to 'a person who habitually seeks to harm or intimidate those whom they perceive as vulnerable'.

James said: "The majority of people I鈥檝e worked with through the Diana award are some of the strongest and bravest I鈥檝e met鈥�.
