Charlotte Hawkins: "I'm determined we can find cure for MND in my lifetime"
TV Presenter, journalist and Strictly Come Dancing star Charlotte Hawkins tells Jason Mohammad and the Rev Kate Bottley about a cause very close to her heart.
In 2015 her father, Frank, died from motor neurone disease. In an emotional interview, she remembers how heartbreaking it was for her and her family to see his health deteriorate. He died just before her daughter, Ella, was born. Charlotte is now a patron of the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
She says: "If I can help support one family go through that... then it will have been worthwhile."
