1947: A wedding heard by millions and a 'fairytale' dress
Crowds camped out in London on the occasion of Princess Elizabeth and The Duke of Edinburgh's wedding ceremony at Westminster Abbey. A 麻豆社 commentator describes the dress - 'of an almost ethereal quality'. The wedding, in a first for royal occasions, was broadcast to 'home, European and more than 50 broadcasting networks' around the world.
