Ever thought about why they wrap your food in plastic?
Covering food in plastic can improve its shelf life by as much as 10 days, according to the British Plastics Federation. But that鈥檚 not the only reason much of the food we buy comes wrapped in plastic. Professor Andrea Sella tells an enthralled Rajan Datar about why we use different types of plastic, and how that affects what and how we eat.
