Esso's admitting its new oil pipeline through Surrey and Hampshire will need to be built through populated areas. It's begun consulting on a 56-mile link from its refinery in Southampton to Heathrow airport - using public and private land. Suggested routes pass near Frimley Park hospital and Alice Holt Forest.
