Feeling lonely can be painful, but short periods of loneliness may actually benefit us. Professor Pamela Qualter, who helped devise the 麻豆社 Loneliness Experiment in collaboration with the Wellcome Collection, explains how it can motivate us to change and improve our social relationships.
