The Borrusia Dortmund striker became the Bundesliga's top goal scorer last season, with a total of 31 goals in 32 appearances for his club. In doing so he became the first player in 40 years to exceed the 30-goal barrier in a single Bundesliga season. This makes him only the second African player to end a German league season as leading goalscorer. Aubameyang is also the only African player among the 24 nominees for this year's Best FIFA Men's Player award.
