A floating bin designed to suck plastic bags and bottles, cigarette butts and other rubbish out of the sea is being introduced to British waters for the first time. The 鈥楽eabin鈥� can collect one and a half kilograms of waste a day, which is equivalent to around 20,000 plastic bottles or 83,000 plastic bags a year. It's being installed in Portsmouth harbour, next to the base of Sir Ben Ainslie鈥檚 yacht racing team.

Pete Ceglinski is the CEO and Co-founder of The Seabin Project. He says the bins are 鈥渟mall but they鈥檙e making quite an impact.鈥�
