The Government says there'll be no new BAE planes for the Red Arrows till 2030
Workers at BAE systems in Brough have had hopes of a major government order dashed. Unions and Labour MPs were hoping for a rescue order for new jets for the Red Arrows, after BAE warned of 400 redundancies at Brough yesterday. Today the Ministry of Defence confirmed that wasn't going to happen for at least a decade:
