Rio: Emotion could have affected my game
Rio Ferdinand has said he wanted to show my children dad 'can have tears and not be any less of a man' but admitted struggling with the idea of expressing his own emotions so openly during his successful career.
The former England and Manchester United footballer has had to deal with two very personal tragedies in recent years - the death of his wife Rebecca in 2015 from breast cancer and in July of this year, the death of his Mum, Janice, also from cancer.
He spoke about bringing up his children and grief in a Â鶹Éç documentary 'Being Mum and Dad'.
