Jeremy Corbyn proposes rent controls
Labour is proposing new powers to control rents, Jeremy Corbyn announced in his conference speech.
He said it was "not sustainable" for younger people to face housing costs three times higher than those of their grandparents.
The leader told delegates in Brighton: "Rent controls exist in many cities across the world, and I want our cities to have those powers too and tenants to have those protections."
