The man behind the JD Wetherspoon's pub chain said the UK might as well give up trying to come to a deal with the EU, and should walk away now.

In a personal film for This Week, Tim Martin said Britain "will do really outside the EU because it will be more democratic" and recalled scare stories about the UK leaving the ERM and declining to join the euro currency.
