Social media 'saturated' with alcohol advertising
Hayles celebrated being sober for 100 days with a 'sober mama' tattoo. She doesn't want to see alcohol advertising on social media.
Speaking to 麻豆社 5 live, Hayles, a tattoo-shop owner from South Wales says social media marketing about 鈥渨ine night for mum when the kids are in bed鈥 and adverts that suggest she 鈥渟hould be out drinking flavoured vodka鈥 could be a trigger.
Facebook are testing a tool which allows users to 鈥榟ide鈥 all alcohol adverts from their news feed permanently.
The announcement has been welcomed by Alcohol Research UK who have told 麻豆社 5 live that the rules around marketing alcohol brands aren't 'fit for purpose' and social media is 'saturated' with references to drinking.
