Smit: Saracens was 'most enjoyable rugby experience'
Former South Africa captain John Smit says playing for Saracens was his "most enjoyable rugby experience".
Smit signed for Saracens after the 2011 World Cup and ended his professional playing career at the club in 2013.
The former Springbok said: "Let me tell you, it was probably the most enjoyable rugby experience.
"I was involved with a great team and to be fair I don't think I've ever had so much fun and played such cool rugby."
Smit led the Springboks to World Cup glory in 2007 and retired from international rugby in 2011 with 111 caps.
