"I was scared at times"
British Olympic Gold medallist Alex Gregory had to be rescued after he became stranded on an isolated island which undertaking an epic Arctic mission.
"It wasn't necessarily unexpected, we knew that an ocean row involves waves, involves rough seas, and involves wind. What I hadn't thought about was the danger of the cold water.
"You always have the chance that you might capsize... for me the risk of capsizing became too big, I was scared at times.
"The weather was poor, the solar panels weren't producing enough power, we had a back up power reserve which broke down because of the wet conditions."
