Reading FC: Stam pleased with owners' commitment
The Royals boss is happy with the big investment by the owners during the transfer window.
The new Chinese owners of Reading FC, Dai Yongge and Dai Xiu Li, helped the Royals recruit seven new players over the summer and break their transfer record.
"The owners have been very committed to the club," Stam told 麻豆社 Radio Berkshire's Jack Winstanley. "They've been willing to work with us as well, to bring new players in to strengthen the squad.
"With the players...who came here eventually, I'm very happy with them."
It took until August for a majority of Reading's signing's to be completed, but Stam believes it was worth the wait for the fans.
"They (the fans) need to understand it is not easy to just buy players and buy players.
"You're looking for a certain ability, certain mentality, certain character as well."
