She won the Wyre Forest Young Musician of the Year 2016 and achieved Best Composition and Solo Singer as part of Bewdley Youth Festival.

Ellisha, who's influenced by Paramore, Ben Howard, Janis Joplin, Evanescence, Sandi Thom and Jeff Buckley, frequently performs at places such as Hopfest in Bewdley and the Dudley Beer Festival.

25 - 27 August: Upton Festival

25 - 27 August: Upton Festival
Musicians who've sold millions of albums around the world are in Worcestershire this weekend, as the Upton Festival returns.

Atomic Kitten, Bad Manners, The Three Degrees, Paul Young, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Kim Wilde and Sonia are among the acts taking to the stage over the weekend.

Tonight's headliners are Blue, Jaki Graham, The Wurzels, Modern Romance and Heatwave.

This is the eighth time they've held the event on Fish Meadow - but the organisers are saying if you don't have a ticket, stay away - as this year's event is a total sell-out.

25 - 27 August: Beermageddon, Stoke Prior nr Bromsgrove

25 - 27 August: Beermageddon, Stoke Prior nr Bromsgrove
After five successively sold out years, Beermageddon returns to Stoke Prior Sports and Country Club with three days of hard and heavy metal!

As it says on their website: "Please note Beermageddon is loud and small children should have ear defenders".

They promise to be even louder this year - so if you're planning on camping, don't expect to get much sleep!

Reading & Leeds

Reading & Leeds
Two Worcestershire musicians have played the biggest gig of their lives today, on the 麻豆社 Introducing stage at the Reading Festival.

S艙ur, which consists of Worcester's Tina V and Droitwich's Anya Pulver, were put forward after sending their tracks to us.

"S艙ur have everything you want from your favourite new guitar band: power, poise and catchy-as-heck tunes. Tina and Anya are up front, belting out the riffs and riding the harmonies, whilst Jim sits at the back driving it all along - a no frills, foot-tapping cocktail. Look out, Soeur will make your head spin." -听Richard Pitt, 麻豆社 Introducing

麻豆社 Introducing at Nozstock
This month's sessions were recorded at Nozstock near Bromyard.

Russell Howard describes it as "a rural slice of English eccentricity" and Phill Jupitus & The Blockheads say "Nozstock is the best festival of its size in the UK".

This event started as a family BBQ more than 15 years ago that just got out of hand!听

Headliners, this year, included听Seasick Steve,听Happy Mondays,听Hayseed Dixie听and听Goldie Lookin Chain.

We were there on the Sunday hosting our very own 麻豆社 Introducing stage; highlights will be broadcast throughout August here on 麻豆社 Hereford & Worcester.

Highlights: The Old Bush Blues Festival

Highlights: The Old Bush Blues Festival
The Old Bush Blues Festival took place, last weekend, between Worcester and Malvern - but there's been mixed reaction from local residents.

The three-day event, organised by Matt Williams, started at his former pub in Bentworth, Hampshire.

Nearly 30 bands will be played in front of crowds of up to 500 people but the organisers have been running an online petition to highlight the financial gains for local businesses.

Lakefest Highlights: Aswad

Lakefest Highlights: Aswad
Don鈥檛 Turn Around and Shine are just two of the eight Top-40 singles by reggae group Aswad.

In total, the band has released 21 albums since their beginnings in 1975 and graced the Castle Stage at Lakefest on the Saturday night.

麻豆社 Introducing at Creamfields

麻豆社 Introducing at Creamfields
This weekend, 麻豆社 Music Introducing has hosted its very first stage dedicated to electronic music at one of the world's biggest dance festivals, Creamfields.

Taking place across the August bank holiday, the event promises an iconic lineup of global superstars and we've been there treating festival-goers to the headliners of the future.

Six DJs, carefully selected from our network of 麻豆社 Music Introducing shows around the country, were hand-picked 麻豆社 Radio 1's Danny Howard and Monki.

麻豆社 Introducing at the Worcester Music Festival

麻豆社 Introducing at the Worcester Music Festival
Our next recording session takes place on Sunday 17 September at Drummonds, as part of the Worcester Music Festival.

This annual event 听was first staged in 2008 by Chris Bennion, who makes Worcestershire Sauce.

He set up a website called NotJustSauce - aiming to put Worcester on the map musically.

It's been dubbed as Britain's version of SXSW in Texas!

Taking place in around multiple venues across the city, from pubs, clubs, restaurants and cafes to historic buildings, river cruisers, record shops, on the streets and even in breweries, the festival is absolutely free to attend with hundreds of gigs to choose from.
