The play casting people with dementia
Meet Delia, a drama student turned medical researcher who has directed a play to help people understand dementia and Alzheimer鈥檚.
The entire cast and crew of 'Lost in Memories' either have dementia or have cared for someone with the condition.
If those with the illness are too unwell to perform or forget their part, their stories can be read out by other members of the cast.
Delia hopes the play can teach carers new ways of caring for those with dementia:
"When you see someone you love regressing back to memories, your instinct can be to try and pull them back to the present,鈥 said the 31-year-old.
"Actually, it's much kinder to let them live in those memories rather than trying to drag them back."
