Murder victim's parents' six year battle for justice
Peter and Elizabeth Skelton spent six years and 拢10k of their own money fighting for justice after their daughter鈥檚 murder.
Speaking to 麻豆社 Radio 5 live, Mr Skelton said 鈥渨hen you know somebody was murdered, you never give up on them.鈥
Susan Nicholson was killed by her partner Robert Trigg in 2011. Trigg was sentenced to a minimum of 25 years in prison for the murder and the manslaughter of Caroline Devlin, another of Trigg鈥檚 ex-partners.
Speaking after the trial, judge Mrs Justice Ingrid Simler said Mr and Mrs Skelton had "fought doggedly and continuously since their daughter's death for the police to re-investigate her death".
