The UK is "increasingly debt-burdened" and reaching financial crisis levels, says a senior editor at Novara Media who also lectures in politics.
Ash Sarkar was debating with Labour MP Umunna and Conservative MP Rishi Sunak as Labour speaks of writing off all student debts, which could total 拢100bn. The party has a policy of scrapping tuition fees in England.
