The Lark Ascending gets transformed in a remix by Castleford Academy
A student from Yorkshire got creative with Vaughan Williams' The Lark Ascending and produced an imaginative remix response.
Here the Year 9 pupil explains their musical process: "I imported the MP3 Vaughan Williams file from the resources and cut out an 8-bar section which I liked and placed it at the start of the track to use as an intro. In the 8th bar I automated the cut-off to decrease and mix degrader to increase to fade it out and placed a rise over it so that it can transition into the trap-themed build and drop. I used the same 8 bar intro as an atmospheric pad in the back of the bass to add some atmosphere to the track. Toward the end of the second drop section I started to increase the cut-off and got rid of the mix degrader automation to bring it back in for the 8 bar outro."
