'Egypt is stable and investments are coming back'
Naguib Sawiris is a big name in Africa. The 62-year old Egyptian built a telecoms empire that ultimately became the sixth largest mobile operator in the world - Global Telecom Holding - with 86 million customers. He owns an investment bank, has interest in gold mining and is looking to get into Brazil and Argentina.
Worth $3bn (拢2.4bn), according to Forbes magazine, he has also been a central figure in Egyptian politics in recent years. But while investors continue to worry about the country's high levels of debt and inflation, as well as the risk of further unrest, Mr Sawiris believes there is reason to be optimistic about the future.
