Jane Austen’s music collection
Several volumes of music which belonged to Jane Austen survive – a combination of printed sheets and pieces which Jane laboriously copied out herself. Lucy talks to Professor Jeanice Brooks about “The Irishman” – a comic song Jane included in her collection – and has a go at singing one of the verses, whilst playing on an original 18th century piano.
