Fifty

When there’s no mud, what can the farmer use to soothe his itchy pigs?

This episode's chapter words are: Farmer/Itchy/Five/Ten/Yes. On a hot, dry, summer’s day, a farmer has a problem: there’s no mud in the field where he keeps his fifty pigs, and they’re all getting very itchy skin. There’s only one thing for it – Auntie Ivy’s Apple Flavour Itchy Pig Sweets! But has the farmer got enough to go round?
This series uses five-letter words as a framework for fun storytelling, as well as supporting spelling development, word association and learning interesting facts. Cindy and her dog, Deefa, navigate little listeners through the stories, inspiring children to create their own using the same framework. #CBeebiesRadio
