Corrie's Nathan: Reading the scripts 'made me feel sick'
The Coronation Street actor Chris Harper has told 5 live he felt 'sick' reading how his character would be grooming Bethany Platt.
He plays Nathan Curtis who has been grooming 16-year-old Bethany into a sex ring.
About his character he said: "He's just doing horrible things and he's loving the fact that he's in control and he's getting money and he's the big man in the room."
He added: "It's absolutely about control. Right from the word go for him."
The NSPCC has been working with Coronation Street producers on the storyline and put the show's writers in touch with a survivor of child grooming.
