Labour candidate for Bootle Peter Dowd has told 5 live that Jeremy Corbyn鈥檚 campaign speech was 鈥渟pot on鈥� and 鈥渟truck the right note.鈥� The Labour leader was speaking in Manchester as he formally launched the party鈥檚 election campaign.
He also accused some newspapers of 鈥渉ypocrisy on a staggering level鈥� over coverage of the Conservative鈥檚 plan to cap energy prices.
