‘My diet was amazing and everyone else was an idiot’
Carrie was 26 when she suddenly fell ill with a virus that left her weak and bedbound. She thought adjusting her diet might help, so she began to eliminate certain foods based on information she found online. Carrie tells the Â鶹Éç's Emily Thomas she was suffering from Orthorexia Nervosa, an unofficial term used to describe an eating disorder where people restrict their diets based on the quality of their food, rather than the quantity.
