Steve Bunce believes UFC champion Conor McGregor 'is a hopeless boxer' and a 'raw novice'.

Mike Costello and Steve Bunce were discussing a potential fight between retired boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr and the UFC鈥檚 Conor McGregor.

Bunce said: "No disrespect to Conor McGregor, he鈥檚 a brilliant self-publicist.

"Inside the mixed martial arts world people that know a lot more than me tell me he鈥檚 fantastic because he鈥檚 fearless, reckless that makes him entertaining.

"But Mike (Costello), he is a hopeless boxer."

McGregor has never fought a professional boxing match and has previously challenged Mayweather to a fight under mixed martial arts rules.

Mayweather retired from boxing for a second time in September 2015 after defending his WBC and WBA welterweight titles.
