Rowing: Will Fletcher knows this year will be harder than ever
Team GB rower Will Fletcher knows there are fewer seats to fight for ahead of Tokyo 2020.
As the Lightweight Men's Four is cut from competition ahead of Tokyo, Will Fletcher knows he will have to work even harder for an Olympic seat in this Olympiad ahead of the team's next training camp in Majorca.
"[Majorca] will be nice, hopefully they'll be some sun, it'll be a bit warmer. Yeah we are going to go there and cycle up some mountains.
"Just recently rowing put forward to get rid of the lightweight men's four and bring in a women's four, and it's going to be a big change for the lightweight men this season.
"There are only two seats really that are Olympic seats...and this Olympic trial is going to be a lot harder because of that.
"It doesn't really change my mentality, I'm still the same as I was, I'm going to turn up every day, train with my mates and enjoy myself."
