'Patient repeatedly punched my face'
The 麻豆社 has learned that a contract with NHS Protect - the organisation that advises health trusts on staff security - will end in March, despite a steep increase in attacks on doctors and nurses.
A&E nurse David Bailey and Josie Irwin from the Royal College of Nursing say the change will leave staff feeling devalued, and may lead to something "catastrophic" happening. Former mental health nurse Sharon Morris says she was left "too panicky" to work with patients, after one punched her "full force in the face" about six times.
