Living on the water has long been seen as an affordable alternative to expensive homes in London and the South-East. Other regions are now seeing an increase as well. There are more than 30,000 boat owners across England and Wales. It鈥檚 said that a growing number of them are using their boats as permanent homes. More boats means more pressure on river and canal networks as Bob Walker has been finding out.
