The Reading FC manager is happy to have strengthened before the close of the window.

"We knew it wasn't going to be easy because they were looking for their first win.

"We know that Yann, Joey, and Macca are very important because of the qualities they have but because of the mentality.

"Due to injury they were out, they couldn't play, and the other players needed to do it.

"He's (Reece Oxford) got the qualities and abilities that we need within the squad, in how we want to play, and he is very highly rated by everyone.

"Jordon Mutch joined us as well, an extra body in midfield with qualities, experience, certain qualities that other players within the team don't have."
