Impact of Sizewell C on the local community

Our third and final look at plans by EDF Energy to build a new nuclear power station investigates the effect on the town of Leiston.

When Sizewell B was built, local people claim it led to drugs and prostitution problems created by construction workers.

For Sizewell C, accommodation would be needed for 2,400 workers, some of whom would live in and around Leiston.

The power station would take up to 10 years to build and cost up to 拢18bn.

There are two weeks left in the second round of public consultation into the project.
