Why should investors be looking at Senegal?
In Africa the big economies are having a hard time. Nigeria is mired in recession and South Africa's growth will struggle to top 1% next year. But foreign investors are urged not to look at Africa as a single destination and for this reason - while the performances of the big two are dragging the foreign direct investment figures lower - there are bright spots. These include Tanzania, Cote d'Ivoire and Senegal.
Often overlooked, Senegal heralds itself as a stable democracy, with opportunities in technology, construction, oil and gas.
