Weightlifting is seeing a surge in popularity. 40,000 people have taken up the sport since 2010, according to research from Sheffield Hallam University. Now Sport England is to double its funding from one to two million pounds this year. Many of the new lifters are women. Chrissie Reidy has been to a gym to find out more.
