Kate Russell was joined by Dr Ravi Vaidyanathan from Imperial College London with two PhD students Chris Caulcrick and James Clarke.
They showed how an armband could listen to muscle movements to control an artificial hand and how the technology made it possible to play a computer game simply by blinking.
