âDonât be daft â get checkedâ â Parky on prostate cancer
Michael Parkinson has said prostate cancer is ânot a death sentenceâ and people âshould not be so daftâ but should see their doctor for a test.
The 80-year-old veteran broadcaster revealed he was receiving radiotherapy for prostate cancer in 2013 and was given an all-clear by doctors in 2015.
He said: âYou have to get tested as soon as possible and if the results are that youâve got it, live in hope rather than fear.â
âIt can be hugely embarrassing â but youâre not dead and thatâs the point,â he told us.
