"There's always a challenge"
What have the first 12 months been like for the first ever female commander of Sandhurst?
Lt. Col. Lucy Giles, Commander of New College, Sandhurst:
On Christmas plans:
"There's a tradition over the festive season for us to remember our servicemen and women, and we as the officer core will wait on and serve our soldiers."
On her first 12 months on the job:
"I think there's always a challenge in keeping the momentum going, in terms of quality of teaching, and investing in the cadets you're teaching.
"We really care about meeting the standard of commissioning, and making sure that we provide good officer going into not just the British army, but also the other armies that they go on to serve in."
