The sprouts we almost never had
The Brussels sprouts grown at Nigel Freeth farms in Sherston almost didn't make it to harvest this year.
They were affected by diamondback moths, native to continental Europe, who feed on brassica plants.
Fortunately, the farmer was able to contain the problem with insecticides in time so that they can make it from field to plate this Christmas
