'Why I went to live with Islamic State'
Samuel Wendt left his home in Germany in September 2014 and went to live in Syria for three months, in the so-called Islamic State.
He tells the Victoria Derbyshire programme why he made that decision and how he wanted to offer humanitarian assistance to people caught up in the fighting there.
Samuel was speaking to reporter James Longman, via Connect Futures - a British social enterprise which specialises in tackling extremism.
