How I got into the Santa business
Nigel Harvey slipped into being Santa after his role in a panto fell through and he took a few corporate bookings. He now runs the Hire Santa agency which supplies film sets and catalogue shoots all year round.
He likes to be as realistic as possible so people, "get that feeling of meeting the real guy and bringing the magic back."
"The UK's been very guilty of cutting corners and having people on minimum wage in fancy dress costumes that don't have Christmas joy at all. They spend a fortune on the grotto then put some misery in on minimum wage, it's not fair."
