MP: Some parents can't afford to bury their children
Carolyn Harris tells MPs about the loss of her eight-year-old son as she calls for an end to council charges for child funerals.
The Labour MP told Daily Politics presenter Andrew Neil about the cross-party support she is getting to end the postcode-lottery where some local authorities will pay the costs, but others charge grieving parents.
The government says a means-tested fund is already in place to help those who cannot afford the charges, but the MP said: "I keep on saying, this should not be means-tested, this should be available for every parent."
