Robert Johnson recorded just 29 songs, but the blues guitarist's influence was far-reaching. His style is said to have inspired a generation of musicians, including Eric Clapton, The Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin. His first ever record, Kind Hearted Woman Blues, was originally recorded on 23 November 1936.

Johnson died in mysterious circumstances when he was only 27 years old, and though he was born in Hazelhurst, Mississippi, Scot Bruce Gardner spent several months constructing a cairn in the Scottish Borders as a memorial to the inspirational Delta Blues musician.
