Tortured and rejected for asylum
The Victoria Derbyshire programme hears one woman's struggle to gain asylum in the UK after being tortured in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Reporter Catrin Nye spoke to Mamie, not her real name, about how a judge attached significant weight to medical evidence of her abuse and overturned a government decision to reject her application for asylum.
