NASA is currently tracking 27,000 bits of ‘space junk’ - a huge potential hazard to satellites, the International Space Station and any future activity in low-Earth orbit.
To draw attention to the problem a new documentary film, sound and digital project is being launched today, called Adrift.
Head of Astronautics Research at the University of Southampton Dr Hugh Lewis explains the importance of addressing this challenge.
