Should the government bring in rent control?
A survey commissioned by the Victoria Derbyshire programme suggests most renters want the government to intervene in the market.
One in five people live in private rented accommodation, with many spending over a third of their income on rent.
Labour have said they will introduce rent control if they get into power but the Conservatives say that is not the answer.
