Connected Histories: Muslims in the First World War
Commemorations of the First World War began in 2014 but has there been enough on the contribution of Muslim soldiers?
A new project is highlighting the contributions of Muslims in World War One - 430,000 served as part of the British Indian army.
Some of their stories have been brought together for the first time. In this extract Â鶹Éç'S Ruchi Tandon speaks to descendants and explores the relevance of these accounts today...
