Does the UK welcome Indian students and workers?
Conservative MP Jacob Rees-Mogg said Theresa May should relax short-term visas for people from India, saying the UK was giving "preferential terms to China rather than one of our closest allies鈥.
Lord Bilimoria, a crossbench peer who has joined the PM on her visit to India, said the "UK economy loses out" as Indians had access to other countries in Europe, but not the UK.
He added that the UK did not offer a "welcoming message at all", as he spoke to Daily Politics presenter Jo Coburn and Labour MP Liz Kendall.
