A Brentwood woman says her horse, which suffered serious burns from a Chinese-style sky lantern, is on the road to recovery.

Danny was found in his field earlier this week.

Bits of the lantern were also stuck to his body and he now faces weeks of treatment.

Owner Paris Gainsford says it was a shocking sight and she wants to see the lanterns, which carry naked flames, banned.
