The eagles being reintroduced to Ireland

Raptors, including the golden eagle and the white-tailed sea eagle, used to inhabit Ireland.

But hundreds of years of hunting and habitat loss devastated their numbers - by the turn of the century these birds of prey had disappeared from Ireland.

Since 2007 the Golden Eagle Trust has been helping to reintroduce the birds.

The Â鶹Éç Travel Show's Christa Larwood visits the Aillwee Caves, which has a birds of prey education centre, to find out more.
